Product description
‘The Narrator’ is Kasper Købke’s hyper-realistic artwork of the history of Denmark in the period 1600-1750.
‘The Narrator’ is part of a series of 6 historical artworks that Kasper Købke has created.
‘The Narrator’ describes the period from 1600-1750.
The visual narrative of the 6 artworks is based on the life and history of the small city Højby (in Odsherred in Denmark) and its surroundings up to the present day. But both the history of Denmark and, at times, international history also weave in and out between the artworks’ visual narrative.
Højby’s development is affected by both geological, demographic and sociological changes, which either on a local, national or sometimes international level, have contributed directly or indirectly to making Højby the Højby we see today. Through Købke’s extremely detailed pencil line, you will experience and discover both local, national and international historical events, people, objects, locations and much, much more.
Enjoy diving into the history through Købke’s pencil strokes.
