The artwork and its title should remind people to remember a time that was, but at the same time also ask whether they CAN remember it.

All people each have their own individual memories of their childhood, upbringing, schooling and the immediate environment in which they grew up. Therefore, the work consists of a lot of small pictures of various rooms, corridors, landings, outdoor areas etc. at an old primary school. These have been mixed together in a large overall work.

Thereby, the viewer can take their own personal tour around the old school and evoke long-forgotten memories. Just as one’s memory is personal and constantly changing, so will the work be, each time one looks at it.
